Especially in these times the question „How to revive and refuel the economy?“ is crucial in many countries worldwide. Therefore GREET Vienna 2016 covers topics which are relevant for the real estate business  - always with this dominating question in mind: „What can be changed or converted for stimulating the economy?

Dr. Wolfgang Petritsch, President of the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation – Opening Speaker and Keynote Speaker about the topic „A Reconstruction Plan for Syria“

Recently Dr. Petritsch returned from a one year teaching activity at the American Harvard University to Vienna. Since 2013 he has been teaching „International Politics“ in the USA and is President of the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation, which supports the scientific exchange between students in Austria and the USA. From 2008 to 2013 Dr. Petritsch was Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Austria to the OECD in Paris. From 2002 to 2008 he was engaged as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Austria to the UN, WTO and the Conference of Disarmament of Geneva. He was Head of Austria's Press and Information Service in New York and worked with the Permanent Representation of Austria to the United Nations.
Dr. Petritsch is regarded as the expert in foreign policy with special focus on South East Europe. During his career as Ambassador in Belgrade (1997-1999) Dr. Petritsch was appointed to the European Union Special Envoy for Kosovo. As High Representative of the International Community for Bosnia and Herzegovina he was significantly involved in the implementation of the Dayton Agreement. From 1977 to 1983 he worked as Press Secretary and Deputy Cabinet Chief of the Austrian Federal Chancellor Bruno Kreisky. Dr. Petritsch received several honours, among them  the European prize for human rights of the European Court of Human Rights.

Dr. Irmgard Griss, former member of the Austrian Supreme Court, the Singapore International Commercial Court, former president of the Supreme Court for Patents and Trade Marks, of Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union, of the board of inquiry “Hypo Group Alpe-Adria“, honorary professor for private and trade law.
Her electoral movement demonstrated a new style of politics. More than 800.000 voters appreciate her explicit pro-European and cosmopolitan orientation, a strengthening of democracy and an active civil society.

Dr. Oleg Chestnov, Assistant Director-General, Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health, World Health Organisation WHOKeynote Speaker about the topic „Town Creating Health – Opportunities for health tourism as example Mallnitz“

Dr. Oleg Chestnov was appointed Assistant Director-General for Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health in February 2012. Prior to that, Dr Chestnov was the Deputy-Director for International Relations at the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, a post he occupied from 2005.During his career at the Ministry, Dr Chestnov acquired broad technical experience in public health at both the national and international level. Dr Chestnov held high-level posts as Coordinator for health during the G-8 Presidency of the Russian Federation and Chair of health-related expert groups. Dr Chestnov participated with WHO in the organization of the 1st Global Ministerial Conference on Healthy Lifestyles and Noncommunicable Diseases Control, which resulted in the Moscow Declaration on NCDs, endorsed by the World Health Assembly in May 2011.A national of the Russian Federation, Dr Chestnov earned a degree in Medicine in 1979 from the Saratov State Medical Institute and a doctorate of Philosophy in Medical Sciences from the Russian Federation in 2008. Dr Chestnov began his career as a physician and worked for 10 years at the primary care level in various states within the former Soviet Union. On joining the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in 1987, Dr Chestnov worked in several countries affected by conflict as well as natural and technical disasters (Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and Ukraine), where he was engaged in managing the delivery of humanitarian aid assistance.
